Here in the US next week will be one of our major holidays, Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving to me, and I think to a great deal many others too, is a truly family holiday. Thus making it one of the more difficult and possibly painful times of the year for not only us divorced dudes, but also for our now separated family members as well.
So just a quick reminder gentleman, be patient, remain flexible, and keep your family first in your mind when attempting to coordinate schedules for the holiday(s). I understand others my decide to get ugly, petty, and selfish so this may be one of those times in which you really will be called upon to “lead by example”. Show maturity and do not let yourself be taken up by all the pettiness that may be thrown at you. If you suspect trouble, there is no shame in asking a friend to come along for moral support, to back you up.
But I hope you won’t need this. I hope all of you have a great Thanksgiving!
