Just want to pass on some housekeeping ideas I got from my daughter. Simple stuff that will help you stretch a dollar!
Paper towels can eat away little by little at your budget. It’s actually cheaper to use cloth, even when you calculate in washing. But many of us are hesitant to buy towels just for cleaning. So when you shirts become candidates for the throw away pile, give them another look, and possibly re-use them as cleaning towels! You can take a pair of scissors to them and cut them up in various sizes, wash ‘em up, and voila! You have cleaning towels!
I also like to re-use socks for this. I find they make great cleaning towels because I can stick my hand inside and this allows my fingers to get into and really clean in those hard to get spots. Works great! Used this idea when cleaning my stove top this very morning.
